Your resource box is where your going to get the traffic that you want to your website. Yes. That's right. It's not in the article. It's in the your resource box. This is the most important tool for an article marketer and yet many just seem to abuse it.

So to get started, you must first understand that your article is not an advertisement. It is an article to help aspiring people in the industry your talking about learn more. Your resource box should help them increase their education. Don't send them to an affiliate link. Send them to your own website. I cannot stress this enough. Send them to your own website! Major article hosting servers do not let you use affiliate links. And they shouldn't.

Make your own website to help out your targeted audience. If you don't want to spend money on a domain name, then I suggest that you create a squidoo account at squidoo.com It's free, easy to use, and Google friendly.

Your article should help inform them, and your resource box should send them somewhere where they can get even more information. After all, the internet is used to get information.

Use your resource box to link your audience to your own helpful website that should have some more information about your topic. And have a link inside your website about the product that your selling. This is the way you should be doing article marketing.

Don't put not related information about yourself in your resource box. Just put information that will help your audience. Also, only put at the maximum of one link in your resource box! This is crucial. Your credibility is key. So make your resource box look as professional as possible. Use a catch. Give them a call to action. This is what your resource box should be like.

Often we see folks writing articles and putting them online in order to attract clientele to their websites to buy something, yet many times these authors of articles use pen names. When someone uses a pen name, and I contact that person to do business later on and find out their real name, this to me also tells me they are not really experts or they are hiding something.

I think if you are promoting a product or service on the Internet not only should you put your name in the Resource Box or after the article, but also use your Real Name, if not is seems like a deceptive "Shrill" tactic and is borderline "Fraud" and definitely BUZZ Marketing questionable tactics. Indeed, I deplore dishonesty on the web and I believe not using your real name, is dishonest and deceptive, whether it is in a forum, blog or on an online article, especially if your article is trying to sell something or get someone to come to your website to sell them something.

I have no respect for those people who put fake names and use deception tactics in marketing, I think you ought to be put in jail. Nothing urks me more, actually and it is deplorable that there is not more integrity online. I am in fact shocked that more people do not agree with me and lack the personal character and integrity to stand by their words and on the moral high-ground. It is a real statement about the person in my opinion.

Then you can repurpose your article content into audio. One way is to simply read and talk about your article, record it and create CDs. My favorite way though to repurpose my article content into audio content is with teleseminars. Article Marketing - How to Write an Article When You Don't Have Time to Write an Article

Some days I feel like I just turn around and the day is gone. I dont think I have time to write, most days, but I some how do manage to write almost every day.

When I first get up in the morning, I find I have about twenty minutes before anyone else gets up, calls me, or figures out that they need my attention for whatever given topic they want me to do. Twenty minutes isnt long, so I have to get whatever Im going to do, done fast.

There are several methods of Article Writing Starting Processes that work well for me:

1. Start a list of topics

2. Add sub-topics under each topic

3. Add more topics and expand each sub-topic into more sub-topics

4. Write a paragraph about a topic.

5. Write down a quote about a topic.

6. Write down any thoughts on a given topic.

7. Write down a thought about where you got the topic idea.

All of these go into a single Document File, and I pull random ideas from the list, if Im stuck for a topic or writing idea. Beyond these, I use a spiral to jot down ideas when Im not at my computer. I have a small box by my computer where I put slips of paper that I list ideas and topics whenever Im not at the computer and dont have the spiral. Im always and forever, calling myself to leave a message --- TOPIC IDEA.

Literally, If I sat down and wrote constantly for two months, I dont think I could ever run out of ideas.

Once I have ideas, the writing goes fast:

1. Write a working Title

2. Ask a question.

3. Answer it with a referral to your article.

4. Write your specific format - tips, paragraphs, or thoughts.

5. Ask your reader if you can help them find an answer.

6. Write a quick referral and link to your site.

7. Copyright your article.

So what's your answer? In the field of Internet Marketing would you rather be the little fish or the big fish?

Without a specific reference made to what pond we were referring to, across the board the average American said they'd rather be a little fish - 66% to 33%.

Answers like little fish have more to explore, to see - more opportunities for adventures and more fish to meet and get to know. But this was without knowing what sort of pond they were in. Once you have that little bit of knowledge, I'd say hands down the answer would be - I wanna be a Big Fish!

This leads us to a few lessons we can learn from our analogy:

  1. The first thing you've got to know is what pond you're swimming in. If you don't understand your pond, you won't know how to proceed. You'll either swim in circles and make no headway, or luck into success only to be gobbled up by the big fish. You've got to know your pond.
  2. Big Fish know they're Big Fish. They're always bumping into the banks of their pond and hardly notice all the little fishes tagging along in their wake. Because they're so big, it would be difficult for them to miss the big picture. If you're contemplating what you'd rather be in this scenario - face it, you're a little fish. And because we can't see the big picture, we have a hard time knowing where we're headed.

    The best way to get the big picture is to ask the Big Fish. On the internet, it's difficult to distinguish between the Big Fish and the 'Wanna be a Big Fish'. Find a Big Fish who has been around for a while and get the big picture. If that Big Fish can't make it clear to you, find one who can. Then swim with the big fish.

  3. Are we there yet? If the little fish in a big pond said, "I going to stay right here until I understand everything there is to understand about this big pond I'm in - otherwise I might get lost, or become someone's dinner," we'd understand immediately there is a flaw in his thought process. By staying where he is, he is never going to learn about his pond. You have to swim around and see things for yourself.

    Before you can become a Big Fish, you're going to have to follow these three steps just like all the other Big Fish did. Oh when they were little fish the pond may have been different, but they had to adapt as their pond changed. You have to take action. Yes you're going to fail sometimes. But sometimes you're going to succeed. Just keep swimming.
